We’ve been busy: Fair on the Square, New Kittens & New Artwork on the Walls

It's been a busy few weeks around Pond Square, and we wanted to share some of it with you. From cheering on the neighbourhood at Highgate's biggest community event, to some very small (and very loud) new visitors, to a fresh look for our waiting room walls — here's what's been happening at Highgate Veterinary Clinic.
Fair on the Square: a fantastic day for Highgate
Highgate's Fair in the Square is always one of the highlights of our year, right on our doorstep, and this year was no exception. We were proud to get stuck in this year, Matt had a fabulous time judging the dog show and meeting all of you and your pets out and about. Jennie put together some fantastic gift baskets full of treats and enrichment toys for the raffle which raised funds that go straight back into organising the community's two big events — the Fair itself and the Highgate Christmas Lights.
It's always lovely to see so many familiar two and four-legged faces enjoying the fair together, and we loved catching up with all of our neighbours. Thank you to everyone who came and said hello, entered the raffle, or brought their dog along for a look around the square. A big thank you to Madeleine, Gillian and all the team that made it all happen. Matt had such a good time, he will be taking over from Gillian organising next year's dog show. Events like this are exactly why we love being part of this community, and we're already looking forward to next year.
New kittens have arrived!
Last Sunday we were delighted to welcome three beautiful kittens to the clinic. Their mum was brought into the clinic as a stray a few weeks ago, heavily pregnant and we have set her up in the lap of luxury. Mum is a natural and the kittens are growing fast and have just begun to open their eyes.
Follow us on instagram for regular updates and tidbits as they grow.
A fresh look: new artwork by local artist Joni Belaruski
Our walls have had a lovely refresh last month, with new artwork from local artist Joni Belaruski now on display around the clinic. Joni has immortalised Jennie and Matt's Dog Odin as well as Dr Nina's Cat John around the clinic. She has captured their personalities and added a real touch of warmth to the space, and we hope it brightens your visit whether you're popping in for a check-up or a longer appointment.
We're always glad to support local creativity here in Highgate, and we think Joni's work is a wonderful addition to the practice. Next time you're with us, take a moment to have a look. If you know any other local artists, we would love to have a chat.
